THE STUDIO
Studio Bamford-Bowes is a London-based interior design and styling studio led by Nicki Bamford-Bowes.
We are passionate about creating spaces that connect emotionally and elevate everyday living. For us, it always starts with how you live and how you want your home to feel – shaping everything from layout through to the final layers of detail.
Styling plays a key role in our work – from the finishing layers within a home to wider creative projects, installations and brand-led spaces.
We believe a home should feel personal, full of character and genuinely lived in. Our work is known for its confident use of colour and layered styling, creating spaces with depth, warmth and a strong visual identity.
By bringing together creative ideas with practical thinking, we design homes that not only look beautiful but support the way you move through them day to day.
From single-room transformations to full-scale renovations, we take projects from initial ideas through to the final, fully styled finish – ensuring everything comes together as a whole, not in parts.
We work closely with our clients throughout, building lasting relationships, with many returning to us as their homes and lives evolve.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Nicki Bamford-Bowes
Nicki Bamford-Bowes is the founder and creative director of Studio Bamford-Bowes, an interior design and styling studio where creative thinking meets thoughtful design.
With a creative career spanning nearly three decades across design, interiors and styling, Nicki has developed a distinctive approach rooted in colour, character and beautifully layered spaces. Whether designing a complete interior or styling a space for the camera, her work is guided by how a space should feel as much as how it looks.
Before moving into interiors, Nicki worked in graphic design and publishing, progressing to art director after graduating in Graphic Design in 1999. That background continues to shape her work today, bringing a strong understanding of colour, composition, layout and visual storytelling to everything from the overall concept to the smallest detail.
In 2018, Nicki founded & then they went wild as an interior design and styling studio, building a body of work across residential and commercial interiors, editorial and product styling, and creative brand projects. As the studio has evolved, so too has its identity, with Studio Bamford-Bowes bringing that experience together under Nicki’s own name.
In 2019, Nicki came to wider public attention through the inaugural series of BBC’s Interior Design Masters. Her work has featured in national publications, advertising campaigns and brand partnerships, while her distinctive approach to interiors and styling has also built a large and engaged community on Instagram.
At the heart of Nicki’s work is a close relationship with her clients, taking time to understand how they want a space to look and feel, and creating interiors that reflect their personality, needs and way of life.
Rooted in storytelling, our work is personal, layered and full of character – crafted with heart, and designed to be lived in and loved.
